Thomas Bergs 教授是弗劳恩霍夫生产技术研究所的董事会成员，领导工艺技术部，同时还是亚琛工业大学机床与生产工程实验室的制造技术责任教授。1995 年在俄亥俄州立大学哥伦布分校的净形制造工程研究中心完成了毕业论文。2001 年在亚琛工业大学获得工程学博士学位。2011 年获得了高层管理人员工商管理硕士学位。Thomas Bergs 教授的主要研究方向是制造技术的数字化。

Biography

Thomas Bergs, Professor of RWTH Aachen University. In his capacity as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT, Professor Thomas Bergs leads the Process Technology Division and is the Chair of Manufacturing Technology at the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering WZL at the RWTH Aachen University. He graduated in 1995 at the Engineering Research Center for Net Shape Manufacturing in Columbus, Ohio. In 2001 he went on to earn a doctorate in engineering at the RWTH Aachen University. He also graduated as an Executive Master of Business Administration in 2011. Main focus of his ongoing research activities comply the digital transformation of manufacturing technologies.
